Be a part of a progressive team of veterinary professionals serving a community of animal lovers in a non-emergency, veterinary clinic in northern Delaware.
The Faithful Friends Animal Clinic provides preventative medicine, basic sick care, and minor surgeries to owned pets and to community cats. We are in search of FULL-TIME and PART-TIME VETERINARIANS who advocate for pets, educate clients on all aspects of pet health, ensure a safe and effective environment, and improve the medical quality and business performance of the Clinic. The Clinic has dedicated exam rooms, on-site lab, reception area, outdoor seating, supportive front desk staff and skilled veterinary technicians.
Have or be able to get a State of Delaware veterinary license (which can take 6 weeks).
Must be able to hold a DEA license.
Experience with high-quality, high-volume services.
Ability to perform surgery.
High volume spay/neuter training at the Humane Alliance or related training.
Fear-Free program certification.
Experience with life-saving surgeries in a Non-ER setting.
Support the organization’s mission and No Kill policies with a respect for all life.
Ability to build effective relationships through positive interaction with community members, volunteers, clients, and staff.
Provide the best possible care and experience for patients and clients.
Help to develop and refine protocols to meet Clinic goals.
Monitor Clinic business performance.
Oversee clinic supply inventory; minimize waste while maintaining high operational standards.
Maintain DEA drug logs and inventory: Obtain a site-specific DEA license and CSR, and perform regular audits, at least monthly.
Strive to provide a positive working environment for all staff.
Participate in new-hire interviews and staff performance reviews.
Provide mentorship and hands-on training to staff where needed.
Identify concerns and promptly bring them to the attention of the Executive Director.
Use Clinic HQ record-keeping software.
