Our small independently owned practice gets rave reviews from clients and has a pleasant long-tenured team. Relief vets consistently comment on how easy it is to work with our team and how much they look forward to coming back. Our clients are affluent, educated and willing in every way to care for their pets. Clients rarely hesitate to follow our recommendations, even for a referral. They are interesting to work with and interact with each day. Our owner has known some clients for her entire career. We are sought after for our communication and education skills and the time we take with clients. Our medicine is thorough and up-to-date without feeling sales pitchy. Our excellent listening skills and client education shine through.
We desire a veterinarian who is seeking the kind of peace and joy that exits in a wonderful small independent practice. Much like everyone else, we are overwhelmed with demand and eager to get back to a good balance. One additional full-time veterinarian gives us everything we need to continue to practice the way we intend and bring us to a normal level of demand. We don’t want to compromise the way we provide for our clients. Our core values are at stake.
You must have a sense of humor, especially about your short-comings. We all have them and every team works best when we are aware of each other’s strengths and weaknesses in a positive way. Every member of our team is a key player and they expect to learn from every other team member. You must be able to communicate as if you were talking to a close friend and enjoy learning about all the things that make our clients interesting by talking with them rather than talking to them. You must be willing to take the time to listen, empathize and educate to allow clients the opportunity to make good choices for their pets and their family. Calm gentle handling of patients and the ability to perform almost anything in front of an owner is imperative. It builds trust and value in what we do every day. Great dental skills are a bonus.
A veterinarian with us would be working a 30 hour workweek with at least one weekday off and no weekends. Our practice no longer provides weekend services and we have no evening hours later than 6-7pm. The schedule can be flexible based on the associate’s and owner’s scheduling needs. We support our employees when they need time off for managing the things that life brings to us. We will always find a way to make it work when a team member unexpectedly needs time off. Joining Clarksburg Animal Hospital is a great opportunity for good pay with great hours in a low stress environment in a growing and affluent area at a vet hospital with a wonderful and long-standing reputation. Don’t miss out on what so many of you are wishing existed!
