La Cueva Pet Care Center is a free standing privately owned full service small animal exclusive veterinary hospital located in Carlsbad, NM.   Our new 6000 sq ft building has 4 large exam rooms.  Each room has a computer work station and a Midmark lift table with a built in scale.   Our very spacious reception area has a large desk with 2 computers and 224 linear feet of shelving fully stocked with Hills Pet Food.   The pharmacy has 84 linear feet of Uniweb shelving that is fully stocked.  The pharmacy also has 2 computer work stations and a controlled drug locking cabinet.   The surgical suite has 2 heated tables.  Each table has its own isoflurane machine and monitoring equipment.   In addition to our soft tissue surgical instuments we also have 3 IMEX external fixator packs.  We are also the only clinic in NM that is using Intrauma's Isolock for CCL repair.   The clinic also has central oxygen with 2 large oxygen bottles and an active waste anesthesia gas scavenging system.   We use Heska diagnostic equipment.   Our treatment area has 2 tables and 22 heated Snyder cages.   Our dental equipment includes a Midmark complete dental unit and Midmark digital dental wall mounted radiograph machine.   Our radiology room is completely lead lined.  We have a Cuattro Cloud DR digital X-Ray machine and we use Petrays for radiograph consults.   Our kennel has 16 Shor-Line large dog runs with a separate kitchen and cat condominium room.  

All this stuff is really nice and it allows us the means by which to offer excellent patient care.  But what really sets us apart is our staff.  Our office manager has over 27 years veterinary experience and is a huge reason why this very busy practice continues to run as smoothly as it does.   The other team members are also very competent and can do almost anything except what the licensed veterinarian is legally bound to do.
