The University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine invites qualified individuals to apply for a position in the Primary Care Service. This faculty position will be in the Academic Clinician (AC) track at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor, and will play a strategic role in growing this service. The position will focus on clinical patient care, education of veterinary students, training of rotating interns, and supervision of veterinary nurses.
The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills in primary care medicine, surgery, and dentistry, as well as excellent communication and team-building skills. Board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners is required. Salary will be commensurate with professional and academic credentials and experience. University of Pennsylvania, Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital is Penn Vet’s small animal facility, which houses board-certified faculty in virtually every specialty. Capabilities include interventional radiology, minimally-invasive surgery, hemodialysis and plasmapheresis. Imaging modalities include MRI, CT, Doppler ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
