Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities, Skills and Knowledge
The Assistant Practice Manager assists the Practice Manager in the daily function of the hospital’s operations and assumes managerial responsibility of the hospital’s operations in the absence of the Practice Manager.
Effectively uses all available resources to provide the best possible care to the pets in our care.
Understands the balance between administrative and hospital functions in the veterinary health care team.
Clearly communicates and supports the mission, vision and values of Fetch.
Is proactive in communicating and achieving the goals of Fetch to the team.
Directly assists in the management and engagement of the veterinary team to ensure an inclusive, positive and collaborative culture.
Strong communication, leadership and motivational skills. Ability to direct, guide and assist team members to include effectively solving concerns in regards to personnel conflicts and performance.
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and laws. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, DEA, ADA, and EEOC. Help develop and maintain procedures necessary to meet requirements.
Coordinate with Marketing & Outreach coordinator as well as the Practice Manager in creating new programs and events to increase rapport with clients and referring DVMs to ensure an overall high level of client satisfaction with the hospital and services we provide.
Requires the ability in problem solving and decision making with autonomy.
Has a thorough working knowledge of veterinary terminology, principles and standards.
Bachelors or Associates degree, a minimum of 3 years of equivalent work experience in the veterinary industry or a combination of education and experience.
Supervisory experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated work history of above average performance, customer service, and attendance.

About Fetch Specialty
Our contemporary practice, wonderful colleagues, and dedicated staff service the Tampa Metro area in our state-of-the-art Specialty and Cancer Veterinary Center. We offer a wide range of medical services and life-enhancing care. Our mission is to be at the forefront of what veterinary medicine can provide to our four-legged family members and their owners.This 8,000 sq. ft. facility holds five exam rooms, a full-service ICU, two surgery suites, a chemotherapy suite, a 16-slice helical CT, color flow ultrasonography, video endoscopy/bronchoscopy, digital radiography, and radiation therapy.
