Associate Veterinarian opportunity with a highly-respected hospital in New York
Companion Animal Practices North America (CAPNA)
Sheridan Animal Hospital is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Sheridan Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited hybrid veterinary practice with client-centric veterinarians who are dedicated to providing exemplary care to our patients. Our associates have immediate access to our board certified surgeon and board certified small animal internist for more complex cases. We are seeking a client-focused, enthusiastic, highly motivated, personable DVM with strong communication, interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. Our doctors are supported by experienced licensed veterinary technicians and assistants, including a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anesthesia. The surgery service provides a broad range of general, oncologic, and neurologic surgery. Our hospital provides 24 hour Licensed Veterinary Technician nursing care Monday through Thursday. Our associates work one evening until 8pm and rotating Saturdays; NO after-hours emergencies. The novel and efficient facility design lead to Sheridan Animal Hospital winning the Veterinary Economics Magazine 1998 Hospital of the Year. Our hospital is located in a suburb 15 minutes away from both downtown Buffalo and Niagara Falls, NY. The Western New York area is a hidden gem with four distinct seasons, great natural beauty (e.g. Niagara Falls, a natural wonder of the world, is in our backyard), beautiful historic architecture, many year-round outdoor recreational activities for the outdoor enthusiast, professional sports, numerous universities, plentiful cultural activities with a prolific festival scene, large theatre district, museums, and world-famous cuisine (not just the best Buffalo wings!). Buffalo is extremely family-friendly with excellent schools and a low cost of living (recently rated #1 by Forbes for “America’s Most Affordable Cities”). Compensation is competitive and includes a base salary plus production bonus. Additional benefits include medical health insurance, paid vacation, retirement plan, discounted veterinary services, professional dues & licensing fees, and continuing education.
