The Atlantic County SPCA in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is offering veterinary students at the University of Pennsylvania to visit our facility and participate in our program. We operate once a week, offering ultra low-cost services to pet owners of Atlantic County, NJ who may be financially constrained, indigent or even homeless. Our program is unprecedented in the State of NJ and many clients travel long distances to take advantage of our services. Services include spay/neuter, general soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and medicine. Dr. Suzanna Vaino (ISU '03) has trained many veterinary students and veterinarians in high-volume surgical spay/neuter techniques over the years, both within the US and abroad, with several veterinarians moving on to accept full-time positions at major animal welfare organizations. The Atlantic County SPCA would like to continue offering this support to interested students at the University of Pennsylvania.
